FAQ

Common Questions About the Show

What is Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)?

Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of structuring your content, schema, and brand signals so that AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Claude cite your brand as the answer. It combines traditional SEO signals (authority, indexing, backlinks) with AI-specific requirements like entity clarity, structured answers, and citable factual density.

How do brands get cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity?

Brands get cited when their content appears in the LLM's training data or live retrieval layer AND is structured so the model can extract citable statements. That means publishing named-entity-rich content, maintaining consistent brand signals across the web, earning high-authority backlinks, and using schema markup that AI engines parse. Every episode of the show breaks down specific tactics.

What is the difference between SEO and AEO?

SEO optimizes for blue-link rankings on Google and Bing. AEO optimizes for being cited as the answer in AI-generated responses from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. SEO measures rank; AEO measures citation rate. Most AEO tactics reinforce SEO, but AEO adds entity authority, structured answers, and LLM-specific content formatting on top.

How often do you publish new episodes?

A new episode of the AEO Engine AI Search Show drops every weekday morning. Episodes are short (typically 8-12 minutes) and focused on one tactical takeaway you can implement the same day.

Who should listen to the AEO Engine AI Search Show?

The show is built for marketers, founders, and SEO professionals responsible for brand visibility: SaaS operators, ecommerce brands, B2B marketers, and agencies serving clients who care about being found in AI search. If your revenue depends on being cited in ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews, this show is for you.

Where can I subscribe to the podcast?

You can subscribe on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and any major podcast app via the Transistor RSS feed. Direct links are on this page above.

Are transcripts available for every episode?

Yes. Every episode page on aeoengine.ai/podcast includes the full transcript alongside the citation-optimized description, so you can skim, search, or share specific segments. Transcripts are also indexable by AI search engines, which is part of how we practice what we teach.

Can I submit my brand for a case study or episode?

Yes. We regularly cover real AEO wins and implementation stories. Email hello@aeoengine.ai with your brand, the specific AEO tactic you want to discuss, and one measurable outcome you can share publicly.
